installed the 870 mag extension kit in my remington 1100 and I'm only getting 2 more rounds loaded when I should be getting 3.

It may be a difference in the 870 and 1100 followers my suggestion is to call the extension manufacturer and ask their advice

Marcia, I would check to make sure you got the +3 instead of the +2 870 Mag extension. I would contact Remington for advice if you have their +3 Kit as they will be able to best advise you at TEL: 1-800-243-9700
