James, As long as magazine capacity is restricted to 10 rounds or fewer the rifle can be shipped to CA. If magazine over 10 rounds capacity that is prohibited. Permitted:
✔ All rimfire caliber rifles with a magazine capacity of 10 rounds or fewer (e.g.: .22LR, .17HMR, etc.)
are permitted, excluding rifles with tubular magazines in lever-action firearms, which do not have
magazine restrictions. Rimfire caliber rifles are not considered “assault weapons” and can have
features that centerfire rifles cannot.

James - are we calling .22 rim fire rifles "Assault" rifles now? Since it is a 22, it should be OK if the mag is 10 rounds or less. If it is over 10 rounds, contact Buds and see if they will ship it without a magazine, allowing you to buy compliant magazines after you get your rifle. I've been told by Buds Customer Service they will remove a non-compliant magazine and ship - but they will not substitute a compliant mag. That would be your responsibility.
