The cheapest model is the same as the one for $499 but is only for qualified professional discount purchase. The difference in the manual safety models is that 3659BXR3MSMA is Massachusetts compliant. As far as needing the manual safety - up to you but in my opinion it is just an extra action I have to perform while trying to draw a gun quickly. A quality holster and proper training/safe handling makes a manual safety unnecessary in my book.
