  • Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 SPORT MOE SL .22 LR 16.5 Flat Dark Earth MBUS 25RD.
Yesterday I was at my local armory and a guy was buying one of these but black. I didn't know you can have a pistol grip in CA. But my salesman explained that AR15 22 is not considered rim fire, but center fire. That's why you can have a pistol grip on it.
I want to order one but He also said for CA they only come in black. Besides the 10 vs. 25 rds, what's the difference between this rifle and the CA version.

  • no it is not because of the 25 round magazine "Permitted: ✔ All rimfire caliber rifles with a magazine capacity of****** 10 rounds or fewer (e.g.: .22LR, .17HMR, etc.) are permitted, excluding rifles with tubular magazines in lever-action firearms, which do not have magazine restrictions. Rimfire caliber rifles are not considered “assault weapons” and can have features that centerfire rifles cannot. budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/california_restrictions.pdf but We have been told that buds will ship with NO Magazine if that is the only reason that a gun is non- compliant you would need to Contact Buds customer service (859) 368-0371 available 9AM to 9PM CST Monday through Friday or use the blue chat now button and they will help you with the order . • No, because It has a 25 round magazine. Get the one that has a 10 rounder. Enjoy.

  • Sebastian, The magazine capacity and finish is the only difference. !0 round capacity magazine with this rimfire rifle should be no problem in CA. Here is link to CA compliant firearms at BUDs:-------budsgunshop.com/catalog/search.php/type/Firearms/exclusive/ca
