I just bought a 1911 Rock Island Model 51962 .22TCM/9mm Ultra FS TACT.
This is my first handgun and would like to know what kind 9mm ammo I should use.
It came chambered for .22 and by looking at the striker I see it's not centered so I assume its rim-fire design?
I'm going to change it to 9mm but noticed the 9mm ammo is center-fire type. Will the 9mm center-fire ammo work?

Cornel, this is a 22 TCM / 9mm Luger Combo Pistol and standard 9mm ammunition will work just fine in the 9mm barrel. No issue as this is by design. Enjoy!
