On a sa m1a loaded rifle, where is the barrel marked ''nm'' ?

Philip, the barrel should have an NM stamp on it under the wood. Look under the hand guard, it should have a NM stamped near the gas cylinder. Do not remove from the bedding unless absolutely necessary. I'd pull the serial no. and ask Springfield Inc.
