Reposting to clarify ... Bought this revolver from Bud's 12/15. Just noticed the finish starting to peel off. I called S&W and was told that I could send it back for a look but that the finish only has a "one year warranty" and to refinish the clear-coat finish is $200. As one can see from the various forums, this is a problem with their clear coat finish. If you don’t mind the finish peeling off the frame, it’s a great gun. But if you want a gun with a durable finish? This is not your gun.

Ron, thanks for the clarification and follow up Sir. S&W should take note of the many forum complaints and at least try to resolve the durability issue especially of a fine firearm like this Performance Center Revolver. Cheers!
