John, Yes the SR series is discontinued. It has loaded chamber indicator and magazine disconnect safety. Replaced by the Ruger American. American has redesigned grip with interchangeable grip swells and all ambi features. Better sights and Pic Rail instead of accessory rail. The Security 9 is Ruger's budget semi-auto.
