Remington RM380 pinky extension

I purchased two extra magazines with pinky extension along with a Remington RM380. It came with one flush magazine & one with the pinky extension. The add on magazines came with the extension loose and I cannot get them attached. I have tried several methods including heating the plastic to soften it up. The add on extensions are not identical to the factory units. I can see that the grooves the magazine "bottom" is supposed to slide into is more narrow on the add ons.

Sean, Do your pinky extensions have the locking screw on them. Older models had converted 9 mm magazines with spacer to fit the .380 round. You have to loosen that to put magazine over the filler of the extension of turning the 9 mm magazine to fit the .380 round. If no locking screw just carve out the groove a little at a time until they fit. If you have model 96244 they are upgraded and have the true size .380 magazine.
