  • What is the difference between Walther models 5080303 and 5080503? Anywhere I look, it appears to be the same gun.

  • Paul, the M2 Model: 5080503 is upgraded. As an owner of the original CCP, I hated that to take it apart you needed a tool and at least three hands. It was one of the reasons I eventually sold the pistol. I will say the promises of reduced recoil were met, and the gun was outstandingly accurate. The Walther CCP M2 has introduced tool-less take down to the CCP series. A tool-less take down is the most significant change to the weapon is the fact the gun no longer requires a tool to take down. The Walther CCP M2 made a few additional changes to the platform to make it more user-friendly. The cocked striker is now red to make it easy to see, so you know when the weapon is cocked.

  • the 5080303 is a older model the 5080503 is the newer M2 version One visible difference is in the striker channel. The original CCP had a stainless, well, something in the channel. It was visible, sure, but the M2 update has a shiny-red indicator that leaves no question as to the status of the striker. If the CCP M2 is cocked, the indicator is visible; if not, there’s a dark void. It’s a quick, intuitive change that immediately identifies the updated version.shootingillustrated.com/articles/2018/10/24/review-walther-ccp-m2/
