  • I want to purchase a MCX sig Sauer rattler. What do I need to do in order to add a shoulder stock to it? Basically the complete gun I want is not the stock with the face rest. I want to be able to put it against my shoulder. Are there extra regulations to adding this?

  • Jason, you would need to pay a $200 Tax Stamp and register it as an NFA firearm. You can add a Brace without going through this and still be able to shoulder the firearm. -- youtube.com/watch?v=I72azBoCxAw

  • if you add a rifle stock to the rattler it becomes a Short barrel rifle (SBR) and will require NFA paperwork and tax stamp. you can add a pistol brace with no paperwork (you can put brace against shoulder)
