AR15 parts. We see them all the advertized and cheered as - milspec. Are AR15 parts truthfully or ignorantly described as milspec??

I worked at a foundry making engine blocks for MRABs heading to Iraq and Afghanistan. Our own boss would dishonestly cut corners and go outside of specs daily. So take it with a grain of salt. And P.S. I quit after 4months. I am a vet and got sick over it. Example, what's the iron temp, how longs it been out of the furnace at pour, etc..

Hi Steve, I think the moniker "Mil-Spec" is more of a marketing title used to capture the attention of novices in the market for firearms and accessories more than anything else. I have come across some accessories taunted as mil-spec but were not truly so.
