Rifled slug in smooth bore barrel

Ok, I need some help again please. I have a Remington 1100 12 Ga with a 26" smooth rib barrel. I has an adjustable choke that has (full cyl, 45, mod, 35, Improved and 25 adjustments). My question is, can I shoot rifled slugs out of this barrel, and if so what setting on the choke should I use? Or should I buy a new barrel without choke? Wanting to shoot BB and/or slugs out if the gun.

That's why rifled slugs are sometimes called “Foster slugs.” They are designed to be fired through smoothbore shotguns (barrels without internal rifling), allowing deer hunters to use their bird guns to harvest deer.

yes Rifled slugs are made to be shot out of a smooth bore barrel (sabot slugs are made for rifled barrels) normally IC or Mod will give the best accuracy and that just depends on the gun and the slug

Improved choke. The slug will not be as accurate at distance as it would be in a rifled barrel.

John, 35 Improved is highly recommended for Slugs which is the most open choke. You do not need or want restriction with slugs, only shot pellets. Cheers and stay safe Sir.
