  • I am happy to report that my purchase has been dropped off . I called to pick it up and was told I would be put on a waiting list and can pick it up within 2 weeks as they are only taking appointments after hours. Is this normal ? I wish I had it sent somewhere else where it would be available on the date or the day after the FFL dealer received it.

  • Unfortunately due to the pandemic some gun stores are legally forced to operate this way. It could also be the store owners preference. I would contact them as soon as possible and make an appointment to get your weapon.

  • The first gun I bought on line, I had sent to the FFL nearest my house. Big mistake. The guy ran a business and was FFL on the side. Took a week to even get a hold of him. Don't know how he ended up on the preferred FFL list. It's a good idea to contact your FFL before you have gun shipped, even if he is on the preferred list, and especially now with this covid-19 going on.

  • Peggy, this is actually not normal unless they are decontaminating the entire shop after each appointment. Their rules are their rules I guess. I just left my FFL on an E-Gunner pickup not 1 hr ago and was in and out in 10 minutes.

  • Also make sure you have all required identification. I can't tell you how many customers didn't bring sufficient I'd with them.

  • Sounds like they are terrified of covid. One of our gun stores was appointment only for a little while. Their choice. Live and learn. Next time call around.
