  • I purchased a handgun from Buds had it sent to FFL in Pennsylvania. I was told 6 days behind on transfers to owners. How long can a FFL legally hold your gun and not transfer it to you. I cant get this guy on phone to make a appointment and he does not return email. What can I do after 6 days are up and he dont give me my gun purchase

  • Chas, I would give them a little longer. There are delays all over the world both domestic and foreign. Now is the time for a little patience. I have had many delays since March and as long as I got them within reasonable times, I am fine. We know not what their specific circumstances are. 9 out of 10 websites post some type of delay relating to current events. I am sure they are not holding your gun on purpose just to be holding it to inconvenience you. After a reasonable amount of time expires, just leave a hand written note on their front door with your contact information and Buds Order number reminding them of their original transfer estimate time frame.

  • Chas, Just relax. It is a sign of the times. At least your FFL is open. Chill out.

  • Chas, Just be patient. You will get your transfer done. Just wait the week or so. I'm sure you will have a fine experience with the transfer. Obviously your dealing with a reputable FFL to have a back log of transfers. Chill out. Keep a level head. It is what it is. Your lucky you even found a firearm to buy. Some people don't have to worry about problems with transfer timetable because they couldn't even find a firearm in stock

  • I thing you need to go to FFL and finish the transaction, if you had problems call Buds and tell what happened. In this thing of FFL is very important to chose a FFL you know very well, feel comfortable and closer to your home.

  • I don't think there is a legal amount of time (limit) that they can hold the gun. I would go by the FFL in person and see if there is anyone there

  • Call the BBB. Or send him an e-mail and tell him you are going to call them and BATF if he will not get in touch with you about your firearm.
