  • Barrel-mounted bipods or really barrel-mounted anything for that matter tends to have a noticeable negative effect on accuracy. If the barrel of your rifle is free-floated in the stock as most should be it would be better to use the stocks sling studs and for that I always use this bipod: budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/81119/harris+bipod+adjustable+height+from+6%22-9%22 I realize it might not be exactly what you're looking for but that's my two cents.

  • Jess, You don't want to put a bipod on your barrel. That is why they are designed to mount to sling swivel stud on the stock. I would not give you any bipod recommendations to do something so foolish.

  • Jess, just so you don't change barrel harmonics and ruin your accuracy, I highly recommend installing a Picatinny extender that retains your swivel stud and give you a Picatinny Mount for a Picatinny based Bipod. It is actually fairly easy : -- youtube.com/watch?v=8G3I0QepJUg
