  • i paid by check; Buds cashed it and the money came out of my account. why does buds claim that it takes another 4-5 business days after theycashed it for the funds to clear their account? Again: the day after my purchase the check was cashed and the money came out of my bank.There is nothing left to clear. there seems to be some underhanded activity going on here

  • William, even thought the money has left your account, it is not credited to Bud's account until the 5th business day. E-Check/ACH Payments and Orders The ACH payment system is built on top of the legacy paper check process, our cost to accept these payments are similar to paper checks which why we are able to offer you a cash discount. Similar to a paper check the funds are first drawn from your bank and your account is verified by our processor prior to us receiving funds. This process takes 4 business days, it is not until the 5th business day that your payment is electronically credited to our account.

  • So your complaining that it didn't take longer? The time frame they give is what it could be, should just be happy that it cleared quickly, you will go to the order pulling/shipping que faster and get your item quicker. Its not like their charging you twice or overcharging.
    Plus with some accounts it shows the money taken out but its still pending, they need to CYA and make sure the payments posted so they don't lose money on these transactions.

  • William, unfortunately, this has been Buds policy since it's inception. I have many dozens of orders over the years and the same has happened with my check orders. Maybe Buds will have a more direct answer to this policy of theirs at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday.
