YES, You can SHOOT SMOKELESS ammo. Pressures in commercial smokeless .45-70 ammunition were deliberately kept on the moderate side because it was expected that people would be using it in trapdoors. It is perfectly fine. Just don't shoot overpressure stuff like Buffalo Bore. I hope this helps
