is this better or worse than the Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 RIFLE? IS there any difference in general between a pistol and rifle besides the barrel length? thanks!

Orin, fit, finish quality is pretty close between the two Sir. Barrel length makes a vast difference in 22LR ballistics performance which will likely be the determining factor of how you plan to use the firearm. Cheers and stay safe!

Orin, besides the barrel length, the pistol has a pistol brace, while the rifle has a stock meant to be shouldered. Other than those 2 differences, it is basically the same gun.
