upper and lower release pin stuck savage recon

recently bought a savage msr recon and the pin to release the upper and lower receiver is stuck. has this happen to anyone and how did you get the pin out

Pins can be tight when new. It's ok to tap them out if they are really stuck. Just gentle tap them out with a punch and hammer. Sometimes if it's mildly stuck you can use a bullet to push them out.

I had this happen with my faxon arak. I used a drop of oil on the pin and used a Allen wrench to push the pin out. Then put a small amount of oil on the pin to stop it from happening again.
