Can this be installed on any m4 style ar15 with the front sight post? Specifically a colt m4 carbine (2016)

Aaron, yes Sir. This handguard fits: Mil-Spec AR-15 Upper Receivers with Carbine Length Gas System and Fixed Front Sight Base. Cheers and stay safe!

Yes, this will fit just fine. It's a free floating, two piece design so will be easy to install. Hope this helps.
