Ralph, The distinct ambidextrous on/off switch can be used by left or right handed shooters. It can be activated (button in front of the trigger guard on both sides(take down lever area) as demoed here : youtube.com/watch?v=I9UhxK6C1zo

You switch out the takedown lever and replace it with the included takedown lever/on off switch.
