Le stands for law enforcement. Anyone can purchase le version firearms unless it's marked qp/qualified professionals. If it's marked qualified professionals only military, vets, fire fighters, first responders and so on can purchase it. Unfortunately 75 percent of your le models are only for qualified professionals only. The firearm itself is brand new and not a police trade or anything. Hope this helps.
