Magazine conversion kits?

As a dealer in state of California & owner of several S&W products i.e. MP Shield 9 SD VE 9 40 cal as some might known Magazines are limited to 10+1 rounds unless you are LEO then rounds per mag go up. The Shield CA version comes with 7+1 & 8+1 magazines. Magworks make a kit to turn them into 10+1 from a 8+1 but they cost $32 + ouch my thinking is why not spend extra $5 and get another 8+1 mag ? Thoughts any one ?

I have used the spikes industry mag kit on my shield 9mm. Works great and cost is about 15$ per kit on eBay. Hopes this helps
