Are the night sights better than the standard sights that come on the cheaper option of the VP9SK? I just want to see if I should purchase the cheaper one or if the night sights are worth the higher price.

Sort of controversial question.. Its like asking which one of your kids do you like the most. I have all kind of sights on my various handguns, including illuminated fiber optic, "standard" night sights, plain old white sights, "high" visibility white sights, plain fiber optic sights and so forth. I even have a semi auto and revolver that I painted with glowing nail polish. They all have their place in depending on lighting conditions. My experience with standard night sights are they are harder to see in daylight and certain high intensity lighting conditions. If I were to recommend a night sight, I would look at the ones that have the colored ring around the tritium capsule. The ring is visible in daylight and the tritium is visible in dark conditions. These type of sights (which I believe Bud's sells) are a little more expensive than standard night sights, but give you the best of both worlds. Unless you can change the factory sights out for the night sights yourself, you will have to factor in the cost of gunsmith to do it for you. As another less costly option, is only replace the front sight with a night sight and keep the basic factory rear sight. At night, when you will need it the most, you will probably only "see" the front sight in a defensive situation.
