Christopher, yes and no, buds does something called qualified professionals Wich gives discounts or extra goodies usually an extra magazine for specially marked items. It will be marked QP/qualified professionals and it's only available to qualified professionals. Here's a link showing who qualifies-Wich both firefighters and ems do, and will allow you to submit your credentials.
