BudsGunShop.com - G44 vs Walther P22 (old model) .22LR

I have a Walther P22 I've had for ~12 years. It's very finickey and unreliable. I was considering the new G44 and was curious if it shoots "normal" .22LR ammo just fine and how it it's reliability? As quirky as it is, I do like my Walther, but am just tired of not knowing how it's going to behave when I go to the range. Thanks for any first hand experience and feedback.

Scott, the older Walther P22's were knows to have slightly weak Hammer Springs. Newer models has a stronger Hammer Spring and a new Hammer Spring would breath new reliability into your P22. The G44 is an excellent 22LR option that is reliable and functions with a wide variety of 22LR ammunition. I have a Taurus TX22 that has been wonderful as well : budsgunshop.com/search.php/q/taurus+tx22
