David, depends Wich type of handguard you have. If it uses mlok to attach accessories I use a handstop by strike industries and it works great on my AR15 Pistol. If you have a picatinny rail style handguard I agree with James, Magpul makes great products. Either one would be perfectly legal without a tax stamp. Hope this helps.
