  • First trip to the range w/brand new Beretta APX A1 Carry 9mm. 7 yards and I could not put a grouping together - the shots were all over the place by 6". Pulled out my Sig P365XL 9mm and put 6 rounds in a quarter sized group - so it wasn't me or the ammo. Is this just a POS or is there a defect? I did this 4 times - 6 rounds in each weapon and same result.

  • Could be the pistol just didn't like the specific ammo you were using. I've shot pistols that will shoot one brand ammo great, all holes touching and another brand horribly. So first I'd recommend trying different ammo. Second since it's new could just need broke in. Sometimes until the pistol has 150+ rounds threw it accuracy might not be the best. Usually they aren't that bad but worth a try. If none of that helps I'd recommend contacting Beretta. I personally don't own one but have heard good things about the apx. So don't believe it's a pos would likely be a manufacturers defect. Hope this helps and wish you luck.

  • Definitely sounds like the pistol. I would try some different brands of ammunition first just to rule out ammunition. If accuracy does not improve then a call to Beretta may be in order to arrange for a resolution. Cheers and stay safe!
