  • There are maybe a half dozen different Tisas 1911 (full-size .45cal) models. What are the differences and which applications are ascribed to each? Thank you.

  • Michael, several differences depending on the model. Kinda hard to give a detailed answer since like you said there's quite a few variations. For the most part it's just little differences like different sights, different finishes, some have upgraded triggers, some have a picatinny/accessories rail while some don't, but the actual core of the firearm is the same. Just depends if you want an accessories rail or upgraded sights/trigger. If you're looking at one or two just post again with the model numbers or upc numbers and can give a more detailed answer on the differences. Hope this helps.

  • I believe the differences are going to be like is it stainless steel or cerikote? Look at the new guns and depending on what they are made of or accessories.

  • Michael, TISAS does indeed have a wide variety of 1911's with varying trim levels. It is best to search each individually by UPC code to compare the features to make the best decision as to which meets your needs best. Cheers and stay safe!
