Rocky, no, if you shoot it with any type of ammo without the choke tube it'll damage the choke threads. Mossberg uses accuchokes and your best option would be to purchase a improved cylinder choke wich will have the best accuracy. Buds has some in stock and ready to ship. Hi Rocky, not recommended by Mossberg so I would not. That said, the Federal loads with Flite-Control shot cup and Hornady loads with the Versa-tite shot cup cover the shot until it is out of the barrel before it disengages with the shot several yards from the muzzle. Cheers and stay safe!
