Brian, as soon as you finish the order the item you purchase gets deducted from inventory so it's set aside for you. The actual processing is done after final payment. This is likely due to people cancelling the layaway, deciding to switch firearms or not being able to finish payment. I just ordered a Savage 93r17 Wich is a special order item so I'll likely be in the same boat. Unfortunately all we can do is wait. Hope this helps and hopefully it ships soon for you.

Processing starts when the order is made, and the order is pulled and placed in layaway status.
