It all comes down to the feel, find a store that has both that you can get in your hands. One will be the definite winner. I use Cabela's and some of the local shops to get my hands on the guns and then come back an order online, big savings for sure. Just have to listen to what ever the sales rep wants to say to try and sell you on his stuff in stock. Both are good at the price and only had one issue with Taurus and they fixed it and had it back to me in 3 days. EAA has a great rep and know a few guys that have them and never had issues with them.

Last summer, I went out shooting with a friend of mine, who owned a 357 Taurus. I thought it was a fine weapon and was a whole lot of fun to shoot. A couple months later, I decided I was going to pick up my own 357 and began bargain hunting. I came across the EAA Witness. The thing that made me skeptical was the price...how good could a $300 revolver be? So, I began doing what I always tell my brothers to do before they make a purchase: research. I went online looking for videos, reviews...anything that would help me decide. With the Witness, the biggest negative aspect was, "too heavy". That particular aspect was actually what helped me make my decision with this particular firearm. I wanted a heavier pistol, to help reduce the recoil from firing the 357 ammo. I've put about 200 rounds (about 100 38spl and 100 .357) through this pistol, without one single issue. I love this weapon. The 38 special ammunition is reasonable for practice, the .357 is enough power for home defense...and speedloaders were only $7 each. It's less expensive than Taurus, fires just as well and the biggest bonus? Six round capacity, instead of the five of Taurus. I hope this has helped.

I have the EAA and the Taurus.I like both,but with the Taurus it is lighter and the cylinder does take the recoil as well as the EAA in this caliber and with the weight of the EAA it is more accurate than the Taurus with the more powerful loads.The EAA is built to take a beating and is fun to shoot no matter what load you are shooting.I hope I helped some.

Between the EAA and the Taurus, I would go EAA. Taurus does have it's reputation of being somewhat hit or miss although, the misses may have tapered off a bit. They do have a lot of happy customers. But, I have owned 2 EAA pistols and still have 1. I have never had any issues with them at all and they actually have run quite reliably. My Witness would eat any Luger ammo I put in it. EAA is a good bang for the buck but arguably Taurus has the big name a bigger reputation to uphold. I hope that helps. Happy shopping!

Yes I would get this over a Taurus. Taurus are good guns but Eaa are just as good and have actually been in business longer than Taurus. Either way both guns are good for the money and either one would be a good choice. Eaa builds great guns as well and they are also very accurate. Hope this helps.
