  • Both NY and NJ doesn't require signature for ammo. I don't know about NYC.

  • I don't sign for mine. I think just the ORD sticker has to be on the package.

  • I've never had to sign. Bought ammo on line several times.

  • There is no federal law requiring signature for ammunition delivery. The consumer may request " signature required " or the sender may specify "signature required ". As far as I know, there is no state law that says a signature is required for ammunition delivery, but California and New York being what they are may have some kind of law on the books – who knows? I would suggest if you do not want to have to sign for your ammunition delivery make sure you clarify that with the sender when placing your order. Also, the UPS driver does not have the option of requiring your signature.

  • Not always, but it is an option for UPS shipments. Some ammo sellers require this for shipments over a certain value.

  • All my ammo deliveries from UPS are "Adult Signature Required". I can waive this requirement using My UPS and signing online. I can then direct UPS where I would like the package left- at front door, behind gate, with neighbor etc.

  • I was told that unless I selected signature required on my package, the ups or FedEx guy could leave the package if he felt safe doing so. So if he doesn't trust the neighborhood, he won't leave it. If he trusts the area, he leaves it and is prersonaly absolved of responsibility at that moment. But if you select signature required, he can only leave it if a 21year old signs for it. This is what I was told, may not be correct, just what I go by. Long story short, its up to the Driver unless ordered to get a SIG.
