Bought pt111g2 and upon first attempt at range round would chamber but not fire! Sent to Taurus, been gone over seven weeks now. Is this unusual or normal with that gun and that mfg. ?

Yes unfortunately lead times on items sent back to manufacturers run from anywhere from way to long to what did I get myself into. Get ahold of Taurus and let them know it needs to be handled promptly with regard to why the process has been drug out for so long. Now take in mind they may have an influx of business and problems with the holiday season virtually around the corner. Call them, make sure you have your rma code (return merchandise authorization) or equivalent to that. Tracking numbers associated with this, and all paperwork/documentation to assure a shorter lead time. In my opinion it is a manufacturer's duty and responsibility to assure the customer a quick non hassle lead time with the assurance of communication. So you in fact know you are being handled and not being passed around. Call, ask their usual lead times. Be very assertive and you should have the answers you seek after the phone call.
