I am looking to buy my boy a rifle for hunting deer he is 9 years old . Would this be a good purchase?

It would also help to know what state or states he would be hunting in so we can check the minimum caliber restrictions in that state for hunting deer (some states have caliber requirements)

Hi Melanie, you did not specify a rifle. Just let us know the rifle or item number. Thank you. Some locations do allow 22 calibers such as 223 for deer hunting.
