Hi Raymond, this is supposed to help with recoil. The stock includes the X Series Recoil Reducing Pistol Grip which has a slim ergonomic design, recoil absorbing backstrap, and the Sure-Grip texture for increased control. The X2 Recoil Reducing Butt-Pad has an upgraded 1-1/4" thick pad, reduces recoil, & muzzle lift. It is mil-spec, so it can be upgraded.
