Can anybody suggest something that will protect and kind of seal a barrel that's had the bluing or color sanded off because I like the way the kind of looks like a dull stainless steel metal looks without the bluing?

I would try just protecting it with a good application of Frog Lube applied with a heat gun froglube.com/
