  • Been thinking about getting a new affordable shotgun that I can use to shoot trap the sporting clays. Would a Citoris CXT Trap with a 32 inch barrel be a good choice. Also have a bad shoulder so I'm kinda recoil sensitive. Any advice would be appreciatede

  • The only problem is the fact that it is a trap gun and you will have to "float" sporting clays targets to be able to hit them. Trap guns are stocked to shoot Very high as all trap targets are rising the Citori CXS would be a better all around gun if you are set on a O/U but with a bad sholder I would seriously look at the Remington 1100 comp it comes with a recoil reducing adjustable stock and the Remington 1100s are soft shooters to begin with links to both guns below budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/719018564/Browning+CITORI+CXS+12GA+3+32VR />budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/69672 />I was a member of the USN Skeet team and shoot competition skeet/sporting clays

  • I once had a similiar situation, shooting clays or hunting in ice cold weather you might want to look at a Benelli.
Had shoulder trouble and needed a softer recoil, the SBE with the comfort Tech stock is awesome!! No Jams ever either!!

  • This shotgun is a proven performer and is high quality. You should also look into some of the newer decelerator for the butt stock that will cut felt recoil down tremendously.

  • Yes this is a good choice just try to find some low recoil rounds.
