The only problem is the fact that it is a trap gun and you will have to "float" sporting clays targets to be able to hit them. I once had a similiar situation, shooting clays or hunting in ice cold weather you might want to look at a Benelli.
Had shoulder trouble and needed a softer recoil, the SBE with the comfort Tech stock is awesome!! No Jams ever either!!

This shotgun is a proven performer and is high quality. You should also look into some of the newer decelerator for the butt stock that will cut felt recoil down tremendously.

Yes this is a good choice just try to find some low recoil rounds.
