Can this be fired in an M1Garand? I have been told as long as the 30/06 has a "Springfield" after it, its ok to shoot in an M1, is this true?

Hi Michael and welcome. Not true. Springfield is the name of the 30-06 cartridge in general. This load runs at a Muzzle Velocity of 2910 fps which is not recommended in the M1 Garand.
