I would like to know what the better of the .450 Bushmaster and the 45-70 would be better for deer, bear or elk hunting? I don't hunt where it's over 100 yards. Mostly within 50 yards

But when comparing apples to apples, the .450 offers a slight velocity advantage, which is why either round would work out to 100 yards. .450 Bushmaster will give you a smaller, lighter rifle in most cases.
