both will do the job so choose the one you shoot best the 10 mm has a sharper recoil while the 45 has a more drawn out recoil. best gun is also something only you can choose. I carry a 1911 cs in 45 for me that is the best.

You have a bullet weight range of 60gr through 230gr and power levels to choose from from mild to wild. 10mm is one of the most versatile cartridges for any carry from urban to woods.
