thanks for all the replies, I sent email to dickinson they have not replied or acknowledged the question. I suggest to budsgunshop to verify the info displayed of overall lenght 31". In my case if I had bought the gun expecting 31" and I get 38.5 as in one of the replies I would return it ("not as described")

On many reviews I read they mention what great service they get. I can’t even find a number to talk to a machine or human. I look at my order states and it says for 5days now “ have all of your order ready to ship “. But it doesn’ t ship. Anyone one else actually satisfied with their service?

Does this rifle chambered in 30-06 Springfield truly hold 3 rounds? All other current production Model 70's in the same caliber are 5+1. I understand the belted magnum calibers are 3+1 as that is consistent across the Model 70 lineup. It doesn't make sense that the 30-06 version would only be 3+1 when the Model 70 Sporter is 5+1.

"I can confirm this true James. Shinier models tend to let you "Buff" out imperfections much easier." Thx. Pretty much what I'd seen implied though not spelled out. Think a full surface moderate buff feasible, changing the luster consistently to mitigate later such issues? All I own came to me blued, phosphatized, traditional polished stainless. Handled a couple ss matte finish pieces and found them appealing to the eye. Vagueness on appearance care and finish durability kept me at a distance.

Searching for information led me to this site, I purchased a sizable amount of tooling and parts that came from the Arsenal several years ago and need to move it I cannot find any information or pictures to identify what is here I know some of the tooling was used for threading the heads and barrels of large shells but other parts are spring loaded and could be recoil assemblies There is also close to 100 gun drills in different sizes and lengths Anyone interested?
