To anyone who has used this gun for over a year (repeated holstering, cleaning) how well has the nickel finish held up. Does it scratch or wear more than regular blue/black finish? what advantages can I expect with a 10.5" barrel over 7.5" barrel? how much extra velocity? Would there be more recoil as more powder has a chance to burn? I would imagine the 45/70 was designed for at least an 18 inch barrel.

I will be purchasing this XDM but I live in Maryland will the magazines be shipped separately to me and not to my FFL of choice since they are 19 rd mags and Maryland only allows 10 rd mags through an FFL? Can I have the magazines shipped separately to a coworker that lives in Virginia?
