Layaway prosessing times

Should have added with previous question, anyone have any ideas about when you use layaway? Does buds wait till final payment before they start locating or processing the item that has a slight delay, or start when put on layaway? Seems like most processing would be done if was on layaway a few weeks, that would give time to start? Kinda why I chose to do layaway, figured it wouldn't be so long processing? Thanks for any response. I'll just be patient I guess.
