I am not interested in points I just need some help on my purchase, I am a Vietnam vet and riles have changed so much that I am lost when it comes to making a purchase, I bought (From Buds) a AR15 And have no idea how to break it down that's one of the reasons I am going back in time besides in Vietnam I carried a M 14 and by the way I can use a 7.62 x 51??

Is the trigger reset on the 9mm the same as the 45acp I used to have of the Bersa Thunder UC Pro two or three years ago? If so I'm interested, as it's the best trigger reset I've found in many DA/SA pistols I've tried including Sigs at 3 times the price. My only gripes with the 45acp was it's fuss to take the barrel out of the slide, once I figured out how to get the slide off, & I was having FTF/FTE with some range ammo that could have been the ammo's fault, but it wouldn't fail the gunsmith.

Carbon steel or stainless steel barrel? I asked this question previously but confused it with barrel finish when I asked about blued or stainless. I believe the correct answer will be surface treated carbon steel but I see another Venture that is stainless and that is why I ask.

I have an opportunity to pick up this rifle brand new for $600.00. the thing is the handguard has been damaged significantly. If I get this rifle, I was under the impression to switch the free float handguard that some have their proprietary nuts, and others us that factory installed GI nut. Does anybody know what steps I have to take to swap out the handguard without having to spend the 400 buck discount on sending it back to bushmaster for replacement? I'd like to do it myself if possible.

Sorry, but I removed the first answer, only because I did not see how to ask a further question. James said the C100 is all steel and can handle a +P, but this frame is Alloy, not steel. Can it still take the +P Pressure?
